my work its more like

me: cant do that... not getting the parts for it for another 2 weeks

them: oh

next day

them : we need this order shipped out today

me: still cant do that... no parts... maybe take this up with the supliers?

them: oh ok

next day..... well.. rinse and repeat

(but i ran out of work over there so at least i dont have to deal with that crap for now.... just gotta find a new job before they have work for me again)

This is the same for me, except usually when we finally do have the product in and ready to ship out they decide they don’t want delivery for another couple weeks

Them: Let’s have a meeting in an hour to discuss.

Me: So break for lunch and come back?

Them: Yes.

Other them: This sounds complex. Will we get the product out on time?

Them: Until further notice, yes.

This is happening in real time.

Sounds about right. This was mine not too long ago:

My Manager, to the Support Team Manager:
t0ast will provide the technical investigation for this defect so Support Person can log it.

Me:
I have attached the investigation and a possible solution: < File: Blah Blah - Technical Investigation.docx >

Support Team Manager:
Thanks t0ast, Did your team provide the technical investigation for this issue so Support Person can log it?

*Head, meet desk. Go to request permission from my Manager to reply with nothing but the previous email chain attached. He is sympathetic, but ultimately permission is denied.*

Me:
Yes, I believe that was our intent with the previously attached technical investigation document.

Support Manager:
Support Person, can you please use the documentation provided to log the defect? I attached the email from t0ast:
